Three Colors Lake ( Kelimutu Lake )

name is three colors lake . This lake has three colors. Strange isn’t it?
It is my own experience when visiting my father's hometown in 2007. My father wanted to go home during the holidays then. So, he took our family for a vacation in his hometown, Flores, NTT. When we were in my father's hometown, we visited a number of tourist attractions there. As some hot water baths, churches, and of course the three colors lake ( kelimutu Lake ). Lake of Three Colors because it has three different colors, namely red, blue, and white. Even so, the colors are always changing over time.
Kelimutu is a combination word of "keli" meaning mountain and the word "mutu" which means to boil. According to local belief, the colors on kelimutu lake has the meaning of each and have a very powerful natural forces. Lake or Tiwu Kelimutu in the top three sections corresponding to the colors that is in the lake. Blue lake or "Nuwa Muri Koo Fai Tiwu" is a gathering place for the souls of young people who have died. The lake is colored red or "Tiwu Ata Polo" is a gathering place for the souls of the dead and as long as he lived always commit a crime / magick. While the lake is white or "Tiwu Mbupu Ata" is a gathering place for the souls of parents who have died.

When talking about the river, which certainly occurred to our minds now is rarely clear and beautiful river in West Kalimantan. Do not be mistaken. The trees are green, the birds singing, fresh air and crystal clear rivers make this place attracts the attention of the people to visit occasionally when holiday. In Madi river, there are some places that have been dammed water to water source for residents around Bengkayang. So, in addition to the places that dammed it, we could feel the cold water by taking bath at Madi river.

1. Barawan't cascade
Barawan't cascade located in Seluas village with a height of ± 75 meters, the distance from Bengkayang ± 80 km and can be reached by vehicle wheels 2 and 4 are connected by walking for 30 minutes .

3.Jugan cascade
Jugan cascade located in Sanggau Ledo with a height of ± 15 meters distance from Bengkayang about 50 km , can be reached by vehicle wheels 2 and 4 .

4. Marum cascade
Located in Dawar Pisak village, Tujuh Belas district with a heigh of ± 50 meters distance from Bengkayang + 85 km. Can be a vehicle with wheels 2 and 4 are continued by walking around 20 minutes.
